Boards & Commissions

Those interested in serving on a board or commission are encouraged to obtain an application from the office of the City Clerk, which also accepts the completed forms and maintains a list of applicants for all boards and commissions. When a vacancy occurs, a press release is issued advising of the filing period established to receive additional applications. In addition to public notification through the media, press releases are posted outside the City Hall (rear entrance). Qualified applicants are interviewed by a Nominating Panel composed of two members of the City Council, who then submit a recommendation for appointment to the full Council.
