Notice of Department Realignment
Effective January 2010, the Glendale City Council approved the realignment of the functions and responsibilities of the former Community Development and Housing Department into three new departments. One of these new departments is the Community Redevelopment and Housing Department which took on the Housing Division.
Over the next few months, we will work together to create one mission statement for the entire department to better reflect our combined goals.

Redevelopment and Economic Development
The Community Redevelopment & Housing Department leads the City's efforts in all Redevelopment and Economic Development activities. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in the City of Glendale by promoting well managed business growth and development. We accomplish this mission by consistently providing excellent service to all sectors of the community.
Housing
The Housing Division’s vision is to ensure that all neighborhoods in City of Glendale are quality, livable places that are free from blight, where residents feel safe, and can access resources and services which enhance their ability to support themselves, their families and the community.
