FACILITY DESCRIPTION

• On December 24, 1922, William S. Sparr donated the Sparr Heights Community building to the City of Glendale. At the time, it was the only building in the area. Both adults and children used it as a meeting place for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire groups, Jobs Daughters' advancement, Father's Follies, social affairs, birthday parties.
• The Sparr Heights Community Center can accommodate events for up to 150 people. Meeting Rooms are conducive to company meetings, classes, small parties, lectures, tutorials, and special events. In addition, we offer a variety of amenities to meet your planning needs.
• The center hosts a variety of senior programs and services. These include: health services, nutrition education, social services, leisure activities, classes and special events.
• We also invite seniors to make new friends while enjoying a delicious meal. Meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:30 am.
• The Sparr Heights Community Center offers a game room complete with pool tables and game tables. In addition, a variety of free programs are offered to the public.
• The community center provides a variety of center-based special events and classes throughout the year for the surrounding community. Each opportunity provides fun and safe activities for people of all ages.
