Since 1982, native trees growing within the City of Glendale limits have been under the protections established in the Indigenous Tree Ordinance. In March of 2007, the City Council adopted an updated version of the Indigenous Tree Ordinance and transitioned the administration of the ordinance to the Public Works Department. In January of 2011, City Council again adopted an updated, amended ordinance. This website aims to provide practical information to help you understand and comply with the ordinance.
