  • Summer Day Camp for Teen Girls

    Camp Rosie is a summer day camp for young women and girls in middle and high school between 12 and 18 years of age developed to empower them to make good personal, educational, financial, and career choices so they can achieve self-sufficiency, career satisfaction, and long-term financial security.

    While at Camp Rosie, participants will focus on:

    • Self-development and enrichment
    • Financial literacy
    • Good communication skills
    • Fitness and nutrition
    • Self-defense
    • Healthy relationships
    • Non-traditional careers
    Camp will be held at the Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Ave in Glendale. There are two sessions to choose from:

    Session One: July 9 - July 26
    Mon - Thurs, 12:30 - 5:30 pm

    Session Two: July 30 - August 16
    Mon - Thurs, 12:30 - 5:30 pm

    Girls from low income families are encouraged to apply to this free camp. Applications are available here or at the front counter of Management Services, located at 613 E.     The Los Angeles County Bar Association provides aid in filing for temporary restraining orders for victims of domestic violence. Glendale residents who are dealing with domestic violence can seek assistance at the Pasadena Courthouse. LACBA also provides an opportunity for attorneys interested in volunteering.
